KEYBOARD

How to play. Press play and wait for the tape to load, as you would have had to, or press QUICK LOAD to skip the wait. You are Des Trickett's volunteer for the evening. Press SPACE (or ENTER) when Des has finished speaking; he will tell you which other keys he needs. Pick a card with 1 to 5 and answer him with Y or N. Waggle his wand, and later the saw, with O and P, one after the other. Tap L to keep the lovely Denise in the air. S separates, R restores. There are fourteen in the audience and none of them will wait more than thirty seconds.

Click the screen and use your own keyboard, or press the keys on the Spectrum keyboard under it, which press them for you (hold one down to hold the key). GAME KEYS shows just the keys the game uses, big enough for thumbs; FULL shows the whole 48K keyboard with the game's keys lit; HIDE puts it away.

THE DES TRICKETT MAGIC SHOW was written by Mr O J Woods, in C for the 48K ZX Spectrum, and runs here in an emulator. The tape (magic.tap) is a normal Spectrum tape: a BASIC loader, a loading screen and the game. It loads on real hardware too.
